The First Post - Our Beginnings
August 5th, 2008I decided to stick my toe into the water of blogging. I have been lurking around the world of blogs for some time now and finally thought I could devote enough time to this.
My name is Jon Klubnik and I have been offering consulting services in and around ACT software for over 10 years. However, it was not until early 2000 that I decided to become certified in the program. Prior to that I was a user of ACT both as a salesperson, and as a sales manager.
My journey into the world of ACT consulting was not a direct path. In fact, when I first begain in 1994 with ACT 2.0, I, like many others, gave up on ACT and went back to the more familiar territory of the Excel spreadsheet. It was not better, but I took the path of least resistance. It wasn’t until, as a sales manager in mid 1995 that I realized that I needed something that would allow my team to communicate. I had 5 guys making cold calls once a week and me and one other would follow up on these leads the rest of the week. I purchased a copy of ACT 3.0 just as it was released and dove in.
